Secondary Skull Observations

The observations were developed with shading pencils. I also scanned the image into photoshop to try and create a repeating pattern. The skull was developed for the final piece by adding hand embroidery like Izziyana Suhaimi and experimenting with freehand machine embroidery.

Design Ideas

I tried to bring together the work within my sketchbook and I tried to create strong artist links in order to ensure that they were clear and that the garment was successful. 

 The design ideas were meant to portray a varied use of colour and pattern which links to the African culture theme.

Final Design Idea

My final design idea above was a jacket that used varied fabrics for texture and embroidery details. The laser cutting made was added onto the front of the pockets and reverse appliqué was used to make a statement of the back of the jacket.
